From ‘Ouch’ to ‘Ahhhh’ – What is Our Body Telling Us?
Our discomfort or pain is often pointing us in the direction of change. Our bodies can be the bridge linking our inner and outer worlds – pain can often show us where the stress on that bridge is occurring, showing us the way to peace and relief.
‘You Can Heal Your Life’ by Louise Hay is an interesting reference for the various connections of dis-ease and our psyche. Several years back, I was experiencing excruciating back pain – it was difficult to stand up straight! After many doctor visits, steroid shots and physical therapy, I found the Louise Hay book.
It was dead on!
The pain I was experiencing in my lower back was an indication of fear and withholding of information, not speaking a truth. Once I found the courage to have the hard, honest conversations with the people I loved, the pain was gone!
That made a huge impact on me and was all the evidence I needed to pay closer attention to the messages my body is sending me BEFORE it turns into a full-on scream!!
Is the arthritis you’re experiencing and indication of feelings of rejection, criticism, rejection? How about those annoying acne breakouts? Is that recurring pink eye and indication of anger and frustration – not wanting to see? Check out the book and let me know if any of it resonates with you!
